Vehicle Rental Requirements

Booking and Payment Options
- Reservations can be secured via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Thatcham office. A booking deposit may be necessary to confirm your rental. Full payment, alongside a security deposit, is generally required at the time of vehicle pick-up. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

5. Coverage and Responsibility
- All rentals include basic third-party insurance, with comprehensive coverage details and excess amounts outlined in the Rental Agreement. You may have options for additional insurance to lower your financial exposure. Please review these options thoroughly. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess, except when additional insurance is in place. Negligence or misuse leading to damage remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance.
Cancellation and Modifications

Prohibited Activities

- Use of the vehicle for any illegal activities is strictly prohibited. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or engaging in any dangerous practices. Transporting hazardous materials or sub-letting to unauthorized individuals is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, exceeding passenger limits, or operating outside designated geographical areas without prior consent is also forbidden.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and fees.
Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Thatcham will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for claims is limited to the rental amount paid in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, or for fraudulent activities.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
10. Modifications to Terms
